Distractions of the Week
From royal wedding to long form birth certificate we the sheeple were kept distracted like no other time this past week. Why?
Perhaps it's because the Obama administration announced a swapping of leadership between the CIA and the Department of Defense… or was it because Ben Bernanke held a news conference to try and burnish the rep of the Federal Reserve?
Into the Fire: A Police State Documentary - G20 2010 in Toronto
We watched this whole documentary last night.
http://rtr.org/videos/29289/16806/into-the-fire-full-film
Extremely well produced and compelling work.
At the end they counted up the spending on security for the G20 economic summit
$885M in spending over a weekend in Toronto for security for the G20 summit.
Major confrontations between riot police, swat, detaining people for saying, "good luck with saturday" to some cops at a baseball game days earlier, actual cctv footage (must have gotten from court proceedings as part of discovery- very important) of putting people in detention cages with port a potties with no doors, film of what were previously anarchist rioters who lit cop cars on fire being protected by cops, first hand accounts of brutality (one by a guy with one leg)... on and on and on.
There's some moments of humor thank goodness, when Charlie Veitch takes to the bullhorn and makes statements like "You are now free to do what you are told."
Veitch also asks, "Why would the leaders of G20 choose this metropolitan area to stage their meeting, disrupting a major city like this?"
The question is not answered on this film, but I believe it was a test, a staging area -- a soft opening as they say in the restaurant biz. See how the new toys and systems work -- hell at the beginning of the film the chief of police practically states how the G20 allows them to test out what they've been training for.
At one point one cop states, "This has ceased to be Canada for the time being."
Anyway, it's sad and sordid and heartbreaking to watch what went down in Toronto last June at the G20.
And this was only on the outside of the meeting halls.
So be prepared
But what can we learn from it here in the Quad Cities or in your local area where you live?
The brave souls who went to peacefully protest took the bait from the very TOP of the tyrannical hierarchy and structure -- they were all trying to effect change at the very top. (It is of course easy for me to write this, as I do not call Toronto my home... which actually helps make my point now that I think about it... they did it in Toronto because the command structure for LEO there would allow it.)
So, what if the G20 came to your town instead? And did not disrupt a big metro area like Toronto?
Would our LEO allow the state of Iowa and/or the so called United States to "cease to exist" during the meeting period of these criminals?
What I took away from Into the Fire is the unarguable importance of getting involved in holding your LOCAL government ACCOUNTABLE NOW.
What are you doing to get involved locally?
