Irvine Chief of Police Office is Vacant: Call & Inquire When It Will Be Filled

Rule #1 when engaging with gov-co employees, be polite. Below is a simple question you can ask to help hold our government servants accountable and honor their obligations.

The chief of Police for Irvine does not have an oath of office on file at the county recorders office. This is not in compliance with gov-co's own code http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/cgi-bin/displaycode?section=gov&group=01001-02... and leaves the office vacant.

You can participate by politely calling the Irvine City Manager, Sean Joyce and the Irvine Police Department. Below is a sample question you can use to be a part of the solution.

"I have proof that Chief Maggard Jr. has no oath of office on file at the county clerk's office. And that is not compliant with CA government code 1360-1369.

This leaves the office of Chief of Police vacant.
Why is the chief's oath not on file at the county recorder's office?

And when will the chief of police get his oath filed properly?"
